GCo Electrical win $6.8m Mungari Gold Contract

Local electrical contractor, GCo Electrical has been awarded the Mungari gold contract for global company Sedgman Limited, with the project situated 20km west of Kalgoorlie.

The value of the Mungari gold work to be completed by GCo Electrical is $6.8 million from the total Sedgman project value of $90 million.

“The award of a significant project such as Mungari further demonstrates that GCo Electrical are competitive in the delivery of such projects and also reaffirms  our position as an Australia-wide electrical contractor,” said CEO Murray Hadley.

The scope of work will comprise of electrical and instrumentation works for La Mancha’s, Mungari gold processing plant.

“We are really looking forward to working with the team at Sedgman Limited on this project, explains Murray Hadley.

“Our bid team built a strong working relationship with the Sedgman team throughout the tender process and we endeavour to carry this relationship well into the project and beyond.”

GCo Electrical will commence work immediately with a highly skilled workforce of over 50 personnel, with expected completion in February 2014.
